50 years on…

50 years on…

The pains fade, the tears dry up.

That tragedy, the Asaba massacre that felled our finest, the best, the patriots, grand fathers and grand fathers in waiting, father, and fathers in waiting, husbands, fiances, suitors and potential suitors, brothers, uncles, nephews…elimination across generations!

Patriots who identified with Asaba and sought refuge there from all parts of the country.

Pain, inconsolable hearts, denial, mental, physical and emotional devastation, deprivation, lack of will to live and truncated dreams became the strange companions of the community!

50 years on…

Here we are. See how far we have come because we have forgiven! We forgive. Yes we forgive,God’s Grace is sufficient!

Our dearest departed…

Rest in perfect peace.Your dreams for Asaba are being sustained.Generations  to come will remember and no will ever forget.

Rest In Peace
